The most recent
addition in Section C is Twyford Cola, following in the
illustrious footsteps of Turkdean Idris, Menai Fury and his son
Menai Boheddwr.
Mountain pony stallions
used have included Twyford Santa, Twyford Swell, Twyford Maxim,
Gredington Asa and Revel Cassino. Gemstone High Flyer is
currently siring excellent stock, including bronze and silver
medal winners.
Exports from the stud
have included ponies going to Austria, Jersey, Italy and
Ireland.
In the field of
Competition, Trevarth ponies have been successful as leading
rein ponies and in ridden classes including the Royal Welsh for
Sections A, C & D.
In driving classes
exceptional results have been achieved. Trevarth Alert (A)
winning the Thimbleby & Shoreland, Trevarth Alex & Trevarth Adam
(C), pictured in Vol. 64 of the Stud book, top private driving
pair, Trevarth Pink Pearl & Trevarth Bettina (C), known as
Bright & Breezy, champion scurry ponies at Wembley, Trevarth
Action Man (A) 2nd in the Royal Welsh and Trevarth Avocet and
Trevarth Amigo (A) qualifying for H.O.Y.S. last year.
Under saddle Turkdean
Idris (C) notably won Windsor & the Bath & West and was
runner-up at Northleach for Olympia plus 2 bronze medals and
currently Trevarth Galahad (D) was supreme at the S.W.A. late
Welsh medal show with Trevarth Galaxy and Trevarth Bright Flash
hot on his heels in both ridden & W.H.P. classes.
In-hand medal honours
have gone to Trevarth Alacrity (A) with a silver and two bronze
medals and Trevarth Bella (C) with 4 bronzes, The cobs Parc
Cardi, Cathedine Danny Boy, Trevarth Bright Dreams, Trevarth
Brilliance and Trevarth Beatrice (C) & Turkdean Idris (C) with 2
bronzes. |
